Common questions

What is free, and what needs a subscription?

Creating drafts and previewing invoices is free. Issuing a new invoice PDF requires an active subscription: £4.99 a month or £29.99 a year in the UK, with no free trial. Both plans include unlimited new invoice exports while active. Your existing issued PDFs stay available after your subscription ends.

How do I restore a purchase?

Use Restore Purchases in ktak with the Apple Account used for the original purchase. This restores subscription access. It does not restore invoices from a previous installation; use your exported invoice backup for those.

How do I cancel or request a refund?

On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions and choose ktak. Cancelling stops future renewal; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. See Apple's cancellation instructions. For a refund request, use Apple's Report a Problem service; Apple reviews eligibility.

Are my invoices backed up to an account?

ktak has no account or app-managed cloud sync. Invoices are saved locally, with up to seven daily recovery copies made when the app is used. These copies are on the same device and cannot protect against loss or uninstallation. Export a backup and keep it somewhere safe, such as a folder you choose in Files. Any device backup provided by Apple depends on your own device settings.

What happens if I make a mistake?

Edit an unissued draft freely. For an issued invoice, use the correction or cancellation action to preserve the original and create a linked full credit note. A correction can start a replacement draft. The replacement becomes a new invoice when issued.

Which invoices and VAT rates are supported?

ktak is for ordinary domestic UK invoices in GBP. VAT-registered businesses can select 20%, 5%, 0% or exempt per item. You choose the treatment appropriate to your business and work. CIS, reverse charge, special VAT schemes, tax filing and customer payment collection are not supported.

Can I turn usage analytics off?

Yes. Optional usage analytics starts off and runs only if you enable it in Settings. You can turn it off there at any time. Purchase verification still needs Apple and RevenueCat so that the app can recognise your subscription.

How can I ask about my data?

Email support@ksak.app. If your request concerns subscription records, include the anonymous support/customer ID provided by ktak if available; this helps us find the correct record without an app login. Do not email an Apple Account password or payment card details. Read the privacy notice for details.
